I recently migrated this site to Cloudways. The transition was pretty smooth, but I did encounter a few issues, one of them being this error:
Failed to load resource: net::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID
This error will most likely have to do with your fonts, which won’t display on your website anymore.
Note
This error can also be triggered by factors that are not related to the Avada theme, such as not replacing domains or URLs properly.
In this guide, I’ll only point out the ones related to Avada.
Fix 1 – Add Your Server IP in Avada
Since Cloudways (affiliate link) has Varnish cache enabled by default, and I’m also using Cloudflare, I remembered that Avada has a setting for this particular type of setup.
So, if you’re using this combo (Varnish cache + Cloudflare), too, go to Avada > Theme Options > Performance and add your server’s IP in the Cache Server IP field.
This will clear the theme options dynamic CSS cache.
Clear your Varnish cache from your server as well.
In Cloudways, that’s in Severs > select your server > Server Management > Manage Services.
This solution fixed the Failed to load resource: net::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID
error for me.
Fix 2 – Reset Fusion Caches
If you’re not using that combo, or you do, but you’re still getting the error, then clear the Fusion caches.
You can do that by going to Avada > Theme Options > Performance and clicking on the Reset Fusion Caches.
It would be a good idea to also clear other caches that you might be using – from WP Rocket, for example.
That’s a Wrap
I hope one of these solutions fixed the Failed to load resource: net::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID
error in your Avada theme.

Changing permalinks fixes the issue for me.
